Hi!  My name is Carla and I make glass beads and jewelry.  I have been in love with beads and jewelry since I was a child.  I remember sitting and looking through my grandma's jewelry box every time we visited her, and being fascinated by all of the different beads and baubles that she had. 

 

 I have been doing arts and crafts for as long as I can remember - sewing, painting, scrapbooking (and everything in between).  I began beading about 12 years ago and got to the point of wanting certain types of beads to use for my work.  I saw those cheap chinese imported lampwork beads in the stores and while I liked the idea of a handmade glass bead, I was very disappointed by the quality.... then I saw a "real" artist-made lampwork bead and knew that I HAD to learn how to do that!  I took a lampworking class a few months later and knew instantly that I had finally found my craft.  I love making beads, and love being able to design jewelry around the beads I create. 

 

I make my beads in my garage studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I have a wonderful, supportive husband that I have been married to for 17 years and four fantastic children (two boys ages 16 and 14 and two girls ages 11 and 6).
